Job description
The Commercial Director is ambitious and enterprising and is expected to:
- Have a broad vision regarding the market (purchase and sale) of Oriental and Mediterranean foods;
- Be able to translate the strategy developed in the management team into commercial plans towards and in the various (regional) sub-markets in Europe, in commercial coordination with the joint ventures;
- Ensures a commercial team that fits the development of client;
- Links challenging and achievable objectives to individual and collective KPIs;
- Manages internal and external buyers and sellers;
- Acquires and negotiates with strategic key accounts at home and abroad;
- Inspires and motivates the commercial team by transferring knowledge and offering training where necessary;
- Is responsible for achieving commercial results.
Job requirements
- HBO/Academic level;
- Very extensive managerial commercial experience in the international food (retail) market;
- Knowledge of and affinity with Arabic food products is a plus.
- Strong personality with a passion for sales and food in particular;
- Language skills required: Arabic, English, Dutch and possibly German and Turkish is a plus;
- Experience with ERP systems. SAP B1 is a plus;
- Experience with Word and Excel;
- Living in or willing to relocate to the Nijmegen, Land van Cuijk, Venray region
