Purchasing Manager
Job description
The Purchasing Manager is ambitious and entrepreneurial and it is expected that he/she:
- Follows the purchase strategy and policy set by management;
- Takes care of the most optimal purchase. Assortment, prices, time and stock;
- Negotiates: products, prices, qualities, delivery times;
- Maintains control over necessary supplies and agreements made with suppliers;
- Discusses the defects in deliveries with suppliers and settles claims;
- Is responsible for monitoring the vendor performance (including quality control, contract agreements etc) and submit this to the vendor and own organization.
Job requirements
- An extensive international food-purchasing experience;
- Bachelor level (preferable scm and/or NEVI);
- Knowledge of and/or affinity with Arabicfood and preferable a vendor network in mentioned region;
- Strong personality with a passion for sourcing, supply chain management and food in particular;
- Language skills necessary English. An advantage are: Dutch, Arabic, German and Turkish;
- Experienced with Word, Excel and ERP systems (SAP B1 is a plus);
- Living or willing to relocate to the region Nijmegen, Cuijk, Venray.
